Getting Started
1. Create your account
Sign up as either a direct account (you're protecting your own brand) or an agency account (you manage brand protection for multiple clients). Agencies get an Agency Console for creating and switching between client organizations — direct accounts don't need it.
2. Add a brand
Most products in Kansyn are scoped to a Brand — your company or product name, plus its known-good domains and social handles. Create one from the Social Media or Breach Monitor pages (brand creation is inline there, not a separate "Brands" screen).
Two products are the exception: Ads and Takedowns are org-scoped, not brand-scoped, since a single ad keyword or a single takedown can relate to more than one brand's concerns.
3. Add your first domain monitor
Under Brand Protection → Domains, add the domain you want watched. Kansyn will:
- Verify you own it (a DNS TXT record check)
- Take periodic snapshots and flag suspicious changes (new login forms, content swapped out, etc.)
- Generate typosquat/lookalike variants of the domain and watch for anyone registering one
- Watch Certificate Transparency logs in real time for any newly-registered domain that matches
See Domains & Typosquat Monitoring for the full detection model.
4. Set up alerting
Every detection — across Domains, Social Media, Ads, and Breach Monitor — lands in Alerts & Incidents, Kansyn's unified feed, automatically. If you also want findings forwarded to Slack, a webhook, or your own SIEM, configure a destination under Log Streaming. See Alerts & Log Streaming.
5. Know what to do when something's found
A flagged domain doesn't get reported to anyone automatically. Review it, then file a Takedown — creating one only queues it for review; nothing is sent to a registrar or Google Safe Browsing until someone with admin access explicitly submits it. See Takedowns.
